Wind Blows and Water Surges
2025 / Watercolor and Acrylic 水彩 壓克力 / 40 × 120 cm
Inspired by the ancient saying “Wind Blows and Water Flows,“ the work depicts a scene of rising winds and surging clouds via a combination of warm and cool tones. The abstract structure over the picture evokes a dreamlike and ethereal feeling for the viewers, hinting at a scene of powerful undercurrents, thus illustrating the tension between dynamism and stillness.
Surge 湧
2025 / Watercolor and Acrylic 水彩 壓克力 / 51 × 73 cm
Seemingly calm, yet the tide is a restless undercurrent, surging forth with hidden power. Together, watercolor and acrylic mediums give rise to collision, fusion, and transformation.
Ancient Trees Touching the Sky
2025 / Water-based Oil paint 水性油彩 / 122 × 54 cm
A stroll along a mountain trail grants one the view of ancient trees reaching towards the sky. Verdant, lush foliage intertwines, and sunlight filters through the gaps between leaves, casting dappled shadows. Everything is so serene and peaceful. The walk amongst it gives the feeling of being in a misty wonderland, refreshing the mind and spirit, making one forget the mundane worries.
Toad Mountain Settlement
Huanmin New Village, located on the southern edge of Taipei and embraced by the Xindian River and the Nangang Mountain Range, collectively forms a settlement of symbiosis of mountains, water, and history. The painting employs cool tones splashed across the canvas, with a palette knife used to define the structures of buildings. Water is sprayed to create stains, subtly revealing the buildings to present the decline of the village.
