In “Immortal,“ Ventura disrupts the idea of beauty as fixed or eternal. The fragmented bust (its features worn down by time) is interrupted by a hand that feels too human, too now. Floating hazard symbols—bees, crescent moons, radiation signs—surround the figure like a low-grade warning. There’s a softness in the gesture, but also tension: a face half-seen, half-shielded, caught between erosion and care. Ventura isn’t interested in ideal beauty; he’s tracing its breakdown. What remains is delicate, unsteady: less a monument, more a question. Can beauty still offer shelter in a world already soaked with threat?

 

在《不朽》系列中，作者顛覆了美是既定的或永恆的觀念。作品中，殘破的半身像（其特徵已被時間磨損）被一隻過於人性化、過於當下的手所打斷。漂浮的危害符號——蜜蜂、新月、輻射標誌——像低度警訊般環繞著人物。姿態中帶著溫柔，卻也充滿張力：一張半隱半現的臉龐，在侵蝕與呵護之間徘徊。作者不追求理想化的美，而是追溯美的瓦解。殘留下來的是細膩而不安定的：與其說是紀念碑，不如說是叩問。在一個已被威脅浸潤的世界裡，美是否仍能提供庇護？
