In “Immortal,“ Ventura disrupts the idea of beauty as fixed or eternal. The fragmented bust (its features worn down by time) is interrupted by a hand that feels too human, too now. Floating hazard symbols—bees, crescent moons, radiation signs—surround the figure like a low-grade warning. There’s a softness in the gesture, but also tension: a face half-seen, half-shielded, caught between erosion and care. Ventura isn’t interested in ideal beauty; he’s tracing its breakdown. What remains is delicate, unsteady: less a monument, more a question. Can beauty still offer shelter in a world already soaked with threat?
在《不朽》系列中,作者顛覆了美是既定的或永恆的觀念。作品中,殘破的半身像(其特徵已被時間磨損)被一隻過於人性化、過於當下的手所打斷。漂浮的危害符號——蜜蜂、新月、輻射標誌——像低度警訊般環繞著人物。姿態中帶著溫柔,卻也充滿張力:一張半隱半現的臉龐,在侵蝕與呵護之間徘徊。作者不追求理想化的美,而是追溯美的瓦解。殘留下來的是細膩而不安定的:與其說是紀念碑,不如說是叩問。在一個已被威脅浸潤的世界裡,美是否仍能提供庇護?

Power, in “Immortal,“ comes riddled with damage. The head is classical—stoic, sculpted—but it’s been outfitted with mechanical debris: gears, cables, warning tape. One eye is gone, replaced by a biohazard mark. The bust doesn’t project authority so much as survival. Ventura shows power not as dominance, but as something assembled under pressure: part sacred, part salvage. There’s no illusion of purity here. It’s a figure rebuilt, patched up, made to keep functioning. The divine has been rewired. The result is more cyborg than saint, stuck somewhere between collapse and control.
在《不朽》系列中,〈力量〉呈現出飽受破壞的樣態。頭像是古典風格——堅毅、雕琢過——卻裝配著機械殘骸:齒輪、電纜、警示膠帶。一隻眼睛消失了,取而代之的是生物危害標誌。這座半身像所展現的並非權威,而更像是存活。作者呈現的「力量」並非主宰,而是在壓力下組合而成的事物:部分神聖,部分是殘餘。沒有純粹的假象。這是個被重建、修補、為了持續運作而存在的人物。神性已被重新佈線了。其結果更像是半機械人而非聖人,介於崩潰與控制之間。
