LIU Yen-Chia / 劉晏嘉｜活水2025-觸動

A plant commonly seen in my hometown—banana tree—is employed as the subject for sketching. Through sketching, I seek to address not only the variability on site but, more importantly, to establish a certain conversational relationship with the banana tree, painting, and the surrounding environment. With that, I await the unknown parts that only emerge over a long period and contemplate the existence of my own and things.

 

以家鄉常見的植物——芭蕉樹為寫生對象。透過寫生，我試圖處理的，除了現場的變動性，更多的是與芭蕉樹、繪畫以及周邊環境建立起某種對話關係，從中等待唯有經過漫長時間才會浮現出來的未知部分，並思考自身與事物的存在。
