At the beginning of painting, new discoveries often emerge successfully. These discoveries require cautious handling, without fear of starting over. The destruction of beloved discoveries each time is not a total abandonment of them. Rather, it is about re-selecting what is most essential. What the artist ultimately achieves is the sum of those negated discoveries.

Creation always starts with something, and only then can all traces of reality be removed. Reality also provides the initial stimulus for artists, giving rise to their creative passion. Yet, the results of creation do not reflect reality. Instead, it is a formal world of personality and sensibility that requires no rational explanation.

The creative process begins in chaotic obscurity, much like a history of evolution, where various species take turns on stage, conquering territories and dominating their respective beautiful realms. Amidst the passage of time, they swiftly become nutrients beneath the surging waves, leaving behind layers of remains. As to when it will stop, that is the main question.

Creation always begins with an image. This external object—perhaps a person, a thing, or an environment—can evoke emotions in the inner world. Observing their imagery stirs some initial feelings within me. Then, I weaken the sense of their objective existence, allowing them to transform into fictional colors and forms.
