Although my landscape paintings retain the simple form of “mountains” at times, what I seek to express is the form of life. Each person’s life is like mountains, varied in size, each with its own height and scenery. The colors and forms subtly hint at the twist and rhythm in both landscape and life, suggesting the harmony and contrast in the painting, as well as the happiness and conflict in life. I intentionally and unintentionally project my feelings about life onto the presentation of landscapes. Casually and serendipitously, within the forms of mountains and streams symbolizing the greater life entities, I lay down intentional and unintentional shapes to express my limited thoughts and feelings towards life.
