The structure of the portraits tends to be too simple, therefore we need to express the presence or a feeling of vitality more carefully. I aim to portray the energy of life that comes from the objects by thoroughly thinking out the “pose” or adding an subject such as a “bird” depending on the situation. Moreover, I pursue the dynamism as an art form, making use of fluidity and an extemporaneous characteristic of watercolor paintings.

Generally speaking, watercolor paintings are considered a light expression comparing to oil paintings or other art forms. However, like “Alla-Prima” one of the oil painting techniques, I believe that watercolor painting is able to give striking expressions by applying thicker paints.
